The New Adventures of The Brothers Streep #4
[ Posted on 2 February 2010 in Newsletters by Simon Streep ]
Millions of people around the world are wondering what exactly is going to happen in the first episode of the final season of LOST which premieres tonight. Now some of you might not want to know this, but SPOILER ALERT, this is the episode where you find out that Jack is just a inanimate piece of airplane shrapnel that has developed a conscious and wrongfully assumed it is a human.
Well, no, if you were expecting LOST Season Six spoilers, Google has let you down. It’s time to actually find out what’s happening in the world of Streep this week...
Gig wise, this Friday (5th Feb) the duo is headed off into Brakenfell to play with Shaun Berry at the The Zone at 8pm. Then this Sunday (7th Feb) the full band is playing what we’re calling The Felicia Mabuza Suttle Tribute Show, which will be at the Waterfront Amphitheatre and will start at 5pm. We've heard rumours that Steve 'I Like To Sing Like This' Walter will be there. If you're unfamiliar with this legendary person, click here.
Next week Tuesday (9th Feb) Dylan and I will be playing quite an important show at Ruby Tuesdays in Kenilworth. It’s our first show of a potential residency there, so we’ll need the support to impress the owner, who is probably fearing chaos after seeing pictures of last week's Bottomup Cafe show. Anyways, it’ll be a show in which Dylan and I will be debuting some new material, so it should be quite a fun one. If it's not, we'll give you your money back, which is an easy promise to make, because the gig is free. If you want to help us out, please invite people to the Facebook event here.
And whilst we’re at it, these are some other shows you can look forward to...
13th Feb (Saturday) is the Barleycorn Music Festival - be sure to click here for more information.
19th Feb (Friday) we join our good friends Forgottensuperherp at Octopus Gardens in Kalk Bay.
23rd March (Tuesday) we meet up with K, Ray and the Bird again to play at Die Boer in Durbanville.
And now I do believe you’re up to date. Oh and please, anyone who does watch the LOST premiere of Season Six, I will probably only watch it much later, so if you do comment here and ruin anything for me, I will delete you from the Internet..

PLEASE NOTE: To prevent spam and people impersonating baboons, your comment will be moderated before appearing on the site.

2 February 2010 at 3:45 pmWhy am I up so early?! Oh yes, work.
Look, it's Simon as The Thinker, only with a guitar. Someone cast that young man in bronze, immediately!
Hope you get the regular gig, guys.

3 February 2010 at 1:34 pmLame. One day I will send out a newsletter which doesn't have a spelling mistake. Screw it - I'm leaving it as 'Forgottensuperherp'. They'll just have to change their name to that on the night.
