The New Adventures of The Brothers Streep #13
[ Posted 10 June 2010 in Newsletters by Simon Streep ]
It’s just over a week until our album launch, and we’re proud to say that we’ve sold over half our tickets already – thanks so much for your support. If you haven’t bought and don’t want to miss out, click here and buy your tickets now – we’d love to have you there!
In other news, our album is finished – whoop whoop! The master was finalised on Monday, and the last bit of artwork was designed on Tuesday, and they were sent off yesterday - now we just hope we get them back in time for the launch, because otherwise we’re be launching the new Shakira album or something.
For all our overseas fans, we’ve got some good news. Even though you will be able to order a physical copy of our album from our site, you’ll also have the option of buying it from your favourite online music store. So by the end of next month – hopefully sooner – our album will be available from iTunes, Amazon, MySpace Music, Nokia Music Store and many many more. We’ll be sure to keep you posted!
And then last month we mentioned getting through the PANSA auditions and finals and that we’d be playing some World Cup Shows at some of the FIFA Fan Parks. These are happening, but due to some small print with FIFA, we’re not actually allowed to advertise when these are going to happen. Apparently it has something to do with people trying to impersonate bands and sneaking up on stage and then causing havoc – I haven’t seen many Brothers Streep impersonators around, but we have to play by the rules... SO... two of the shows will be at the FIFA Fan Fest, and one of the shows will be at OR Thambo – the Fan Park in Khayelitsha, not the airport.
If you’re keen to come along, please just ask us when we’re playing – we’re not allowed to publically advertise when we’ll be on stage, but there shouldn’t be an issue with us telling you on a personal basis. And if I am currently breaching some sort of small print, then I’d just like to say that my name is Rory Elliot and Plush is the greatest band in the world.
PLEASE NOTE: To prevent spam and people impersonating baboons, your comment will be moderated before appearing on the site.
