Piracy

[ Posted 22 June 2010 in Video by Simon Streep ]

Piracy causes millions of artists to go bankrupt everyday.  And by bankrupt I simply mean that they probably won’t be able to tip their limo drivers in diamonds anymore.  And if this thought doesn’t anger you, then your soul is probably broken, and you’re more than likely currently downloading a new one on uTorrent.

We’ve created an advert that we screened at our album launch last weekend to help put an end to this horrendous activity, and we feel that after watching this, piracy will be effectively destroyed forever.  It’s a bold claim, but never under-estimate the power of cinema.  Especially cinema that hasn’t been filmed in China in the back row of a multiplex on a handycam.

If you’d like to order our album, you can do so by filling in the order form on our music page, or you can download our album digitally on iTunes USA,iTunes UKAmazon.COM and Amazon.CO.UK – we’ll be adding more online stores soon, so be sure to check our music section for updates.

It would be great if people literally did get attacked by gorillas if they pirated music. I think you should wear that gorilla suit and go around finding people who pirate music and attack them. You'd be like a super hero, only slightly weirder...

That's a great DRM method. With gorillas.

The best way for you to fight "piracy" is to make your music free.

"Ownership" is philosophically problematic and the logic breaks down at a universal level.

That said, ppl will shell out for perceived value, and I will definately be buying your album :)

Excuse me, I think I was in the front row when I recorded your album launch with a handycam :)
