So Much More To See (with lyrics)[ Posted 6 December 2011 in Video by Simon Streep ]
We love a challenge. But when we were sent a huge list of DStv’s highlights of the year and were asked to write a song using as many of them as possible whilst giving room for it to be serious, sombre, poignant, irreverent, celebratory, whimsical, playful and happy... all in 60 seconds... we’d be lying if we said we wondered whether it was actually possible.
And now to extend a challenge to you. We’d love you to try learning the words so you can sing it back to us next time you see us. Oh yes, the challenge is on. If you’d like to download the track, right click ‘save as’ here, otherwise, here are the lyrics to get you going...
So Much More To See (on DStv)
There was so much more to see than we could fit into this song
Let’s start with Bella choosing Edward, though we knew it all along
You may have watched Eat, Pray, Love to save reading through the book
If you found hiring films painful you gave BoxOffice a look
Tuff Puppy babysat your kids when they got home from school
Watching Phil in Modern Family made your own father seem cool
No matter how amazingly you race you’ll never beat the host
Will Dexter ever realise that his father is a ghost?
Dave won SA Idols and those brothers were quite funny
Big Brother proved to us that we’ll do crazy things for money
Adam won MasterChef his cooking is sublime
Bear just eats and drinks anything that he can find
We said goodbye to Steve and many of our friends
We saw the world change and were glad it didn’t end
We were wearing green and gold as our boys did us proud
Tyson whispered to a pidgeon, while the royals drew a crowd
Piers Morgan replaced Larry, we bid farewell to Harry
Kim was briefly married, Justin’s always rumoured dead
Posh and Becks had Harper Seven, Beyonce’s in 7th heaven
What a great twenty eleven, Lady Gaga was an egg!
So much more to see
We’ll bring you even more next year in beautiful HD
There's always PVR when there's somewhere you need to be
So much more to see
