Let’s help Mark Haze

Spoiler alert, but if you’re behind in Britain’s Got Talent and you’ve yet to watch the finale, you’ve yet to find out that apparently the most talented person in Britain isn’t even a person at all – it’s a dancing dog. To be fair, the dog can dance fairly well. Or at least fairly well for a dog. And if I’m really honest, it probably can dance better than me. But at least if I get ill after a particularly hefty dance routine, I’ve got a far less chance of being put down.
But the more literate of you who pay attention to titles are probably wondering what on earth this has to do with Mark Haze. Well, I’m glad you hypothetically asked...
I guess I’m just happy that a human being won South African Idols last year. In fact, unless I’m mistaken, all the contestants and at least the majority of the judges were 100% human. It would indeed be interesting if a singing shark somehow managed to crack the Top 10, but it would have been far more problematic if it had made the Top 2. It would be hard to wholeheartedly back a shark’s showbiz career. I just don’t think you’d care enough. There’s a reason VH1 don’t do Where Are They Now specials on the pig who played Babe, and the dog who played Milo in The Mask. Although, if it’s anything like their other specials, it’s safe to assume Babe got heavily addicted to crystal meth and Milo released a compromising video with the dog from Frasier.
So I’m thankful our singing talent show came down to two eligible young men, one of whom was Mark Haze, who I voted for, and will continue to back in his career. Mark is talented, humble and generally a great specimen of a human being, someone with integrity, and an infectious positivity. He’s certainly on an exciting road to success, and whilst he probably doesn’t need our assistance in getting there, I reckon we should all be doing our bit in helping him along. Be sure to click here and listen to his new single Alone, and then be sure to share it with your friends and harass your favourite radio station until they start playing it on a regular basis.
And if you’d like to know more about Mark, click here to listen to our latest radio show featuring him as he joins us for our new True or False section, and as he chats to us about his new single and answers all our strange questions. Vote Mark!
