Guide to The Brothers Streep, Week 44

[ Posted 26 October 2009 in Newsletters by Simon Streep ]

It's time to try answer what has been on everyone's minds... What's next?  Did Juliet really set off the hydrogen bomb?  Was that white flash at the end of 'The Incident' the explosion, or was it the island jumping through time again?  Oh and of course, what will the Brothers Streep be up to in the next couple of weeks?

Let's start with the Brothers Streep...

Ever since we performed our song about Anna Paquin to Anna Paquin on the Graham Norton Show, our lives have changed.  We've become close friends with both Anna and Graham - see, we're on a first name basis.  Anna has asked us to play our song Tonight at her wedding, and Graham has asked Richard Streep to move in with him.  David Mitchell has also invited me to replace Robert Webb in their comedic duo - as it currently stands, the seventh season of Peep Show will be called Streep Show.

Okay, none of that has actually happened... but here's what you can look forward to:

This week Tuesday (27th October) Dyl and I will be performing at Zula Bar in Long Street at 10:30pm.  The evening begins with an open mic night, so get there earlier to support Cape Town's upcoming artists.  For more info, visit www.zulabar.co.za.

Also this week, on Thursday (29th October) the full band will be performing at the Albert Hall in Woodstock at a comedy event entitled The Show.  It's the launch of a fortnightly event which according to the press release, aims to incorporate two elements of live entertainment: comedy and music.  We'll be providing the musical element, whilst some of Cape Town's finest comedians will be doing the rest.  For more info, visit the Facebook event here.

Speaking (or rather writing) of Facebook, thanks to all those who have recently joined us as Facebook fans.  If you haven't yet, you can become a fan by clicking here.

That's it for this week - thanks again for all the amazing support and comments we've been getting.  Please continue to spread our music around - if that Crazy Frog thing was able to become popular, there's still hope for us!

Oh and as for Season Six, the final season, of LOST - I'm guessing the bomb did explode, but the massive release of energy caused the island to shift through time again.  We'll have to wait and see if I'm right...

God speed

Um...*Spoiler Alert* perhaps? I suppose it doesn't give away too much, but when it comes to LOST, the less you know in advance the better really...Luckily I'm up to date otherwise I'd fight you...
