If you’re expecting a blog exploring the problem with point of view in the modern day documentary, or a blog critiquing the recent exploitation of the documentary genre in films such as Supersize Me and The March Of The Penguins, unfortunately this blog with be more specific.  Way more specific.  If you’re expecting a blog with a mini-documentary about the making of the new Brothers Streep album, then you’re in luck.

I know this post doesn't fit the regular 'Rant & Rave' format, but sometimes when one has the extreme privelage of managing to book tickets to see one's favorite band live, one has to make exceptions.

In 2005, film history was made when Ken Badish and Boaz Davidson teamed forces to add yet another film to their much loved ‘Man’ series, which consists of hits such as PredatorMan (aka Alien Lockdown), MorphMan (aka Larva), MosquitoMan (aka Mansquito) and SnakeMan (aka The Snake King).  There is also SkeletonMan, and although it involved Boaz, it sadly lacked the subtle touches of Ken.  There is obviously also Batman, Spiderman, Superman and a host of other ‘Man’ films, but do not be fooled by their misleading titles, they do not fall part of the official ‘Man’ series.

A few years ago Dylan and I made the mistake of renting King Kong – a movie which is surprisingly dull for a film which won Oscars and incorporates dinosaurs and a giant ape.

Everyone has skeletons in their closet.  Metaphorically of course.  People that do actually have skeletons, tend to keep them in the basement.  I’m basing this observation purely on Norman Bates from Psycho, and not on any real life experience.  I don’t have a basement.

Anyways, all the members of the Brothers Streep have been involved in various other musical projects which might be viewed by others as ‘skeletons’ in our past.  This however would be an unfair judgement, as we all know the world was a better place when Would You Like Some Curry? was around, and when El Pistolos Streepos Amigos were gigging regularly.
