An Album Launch Photo
[ Posted 23 June 2010 in Streep by Simon Streep ]On Monday I promised that today you’d be able to see some photos from the launch for those that missed out but still wanted to see some of the fun. Unfortunately, I’ve got loads of photos to go through, and I’m struggling to select and edit the best photos to put up on the blog. So, I’ve decided to extend my deadline (considering it was self inflicted I’m sure I have the power to do that), and rather, I’ll show you my favourite photo from the launch.
Piracy
[ Posted 22 June 2010 in Video by Simon Streep ]Piracy causes millions of artists to go bankrupt everyday. And by bankrupt I simply mean that they probably won’t be able to tip their limo drivers in diamonds anymore. And if this thought doesn’t anger you, then your soul is probably broken, and you’re more than likely currently downloading a new one on uTorrent.
Suitable For The Whole Family – Debut Full Band Album Out Now
[ Posted 21 June 2010 in Streep by Simon Streep ]We’re proud to announce that our debut full band album, Suitable For The Whole Family, has finally been released! Launched on the 19th June 2010 at the Nassau Theatre, this album is our first professionally recorded album and it contains all our favourite songs from the past five years of being a band – covering topics from the global economy crisis, to animal’s rights, Disney princesses, shopping express queues, Anna Paquin, evil pirate captains and more, we feel there’s something for everyone, or at least something for everyone with a bit of a sense of humour.
The two reasons why Bafana Bafana lost against Uruguay
[ Posted 17 June 2010 in Life by Simon Streep ]Now I know that people don’t usually come to the blog of an acoustic comedy band for FIFA 2010 World Cup match analysis, but I feel that despite my general lack of knowledge when it comes to all things sport, the reasons why Bafana Bafana lost against Uruguay are rather obvious, and I feel it is my duty to point them out.
The journey to the 2010 FIFA World Cup
[ Posted 11 June 2010 in Life by Simon Streep ]The more observant of you will realise that the FIFA World Cup starts today. If you fall into the category of South Africans that are unaware of this event, you’re probably also still wondering what exactly happened at Ellis Park in 1995, and why our flag seems to have gotten a lot more colourful since 1994.

Dr. Streep Medicine Brothers, Episode Eight
[ Posted 7 June 2010 in Podcast by Simon Streep ]This is the last podcast of this series, and we kick it off by starting with a preview of a song from our debut full band album – yes – it’s a podcast spectacular – all the cool kids are writing about it, especially those who have the name Simon and happen to be surviving on a distinct lack of sleep causing him to resort to a terrible intro to a blog. Anyways – click here to download the last episode of Dr Streep Medicine Brothers...
Be on the podcast, be on the album
[ Posted 4 June 2010 in Podcast by Simon Streep ]So we decided that our upcoming album would have loads of extra features – from director’s commentary to additional songs, chord books and behind the scenes videos – it’s packed with extra goodness. And – one of the extra features will be including our latest podcast series, Dr Streep Medicine Brothers.
Dyl Streep's Rant & Rave: The Office
[ Posted 3 June 2010 in Life by Dylan Streep ]Just a quick one... People who know me will often say that my sense of humour is very similar to and even copies that of comedy genius Ricky Gervais, and to those people I say; Well... am I copying or is it.. and that's.. so...
